The Viral Passionfruit Pineapple Margarita (Your New Favourite Summer Marg)

If a tropical holiday could be poured into a glass, it would taste like this.

The Passionfruit Pineapple Margarita is bright, juicy, slightly tangy and ridiculously refreshing — the kind of margarita that instantly makes you feel like you’re sitting somewhere sunny with friends.

This version uses a split of our Passionfruit and Pineapple Margarita Mixers, creating the perfect balance of sweet tropical fruit and sharp citrus. It’s bold, vibrant and dangerously easy to drink.

Whether you're hosting a BBQ, planning a girls’ night, or just want something fun to shake up on a warm afternoon, this tropical margarita delivers serious summer energy.

This recipe follows the perfect margarita ratio with a tropical twist.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Passionfruit Margarita Mixer

  • 45 ml Pineapple Margarita Mixer

  • 30 ml tequila

  • 15 ml triple sec

  • Fresh ice

Optional garnish

  • Pineapple wedge

  • Half passionfruit

  • Tajín or salt rim

Method

  1. Rim your glass with salt or Tajín.

  2. Fill a shaker with ice.

  3. Add both mixers, tequila and triple sec.

  4. Shake well for 10–15 seconds.

  5. Strain into a salt-rimmed glass filled with fresh ice.

  6. Garnish with pineapple or passionfruit.

Sip immediately and pretend you're somewhere tropical.

Why Passionfruit and Pineapple Work So Well Together

Passionfruit brings bright, tangy acidity that margaritas love.

Pineapple adds natural sweetness and smooth tropical depth.

Together they create a margarita that’s balanced, juicy and incredibly drinkable — which is exactly why this combo is exploding across cocktail menus.

Make It Frozen (Instant Party Mode)

This margarita is incredible frozen.

Add the ingredients to a blender with a cup of ice and blend until smooth and slushy.

Or pour the mix into a Ninja Slushi machine for an effortless frozen margarita.

Perfect for:

  • BBQs

  • pool days

  • birthday parties

  • summer entertaining

Turn It Into a Tropical Mocktail

Skip the tequila and triple sec.

Instead:

• 95 ml split of Passionfruit + Pineapple mixer
• top with soda water or coconut water
• serve over ice

Still bright, still refreshing, still tropical.

So.. What can we take away?

Some margaritas are classic.

Some are spicy.

And some taste like a tropical holiday.

The Passionfruit Pineapple Margarita sits firmly in that last category.

Shake one up for your next BBQ, girls’ night or long lunch and you’ll see why this flavour combo is quickly becoming a favourite.
